The SECURE-R2I project coordinator, Giles Brandon, was invited to present on nano- and material technologies in Eastern Partnership countries (EPC) to the European Parliament, Brussels.
 
The presentation took place during the conference "Building together a knowledge-oriented and forward-looking EU Neighbourhood" held on 31 March 2015.
 
The high-profile event was organized jointly by the European Commission's DG Research & Innovation and the European Parliament's Foreign Affairs and Industry, Technology, Research and Energy committees. It was opened by the Chairs of both committees, Elmar Brok and Jerzy Buzek, together with EU Commissioner, Carlos Moedas, and the Latvian Minister for Education and Science, Marite Seile.
 
During his presentation, Mr Brandon highlighted the nanomaterial pilot projects involving EPC partners being undertaken within the SECURE-R2I project.
